Well it's not really, it's a living room with 14 ft high ceilings, adobe walls & a brick floor. It's pretty live sounding naturally but there are ways around it should you like it dead. There is also a smaller, warmer room with wood floors.
It houses a modest ProTools Digi 003 system running 8.0.3 in a pretty bumpin' iMac with plenty of memory & a DVD burner for backups.
We have some basic plug-ins, tube mic pres, a POD xt amp modeler & Reason 4 if you are in need of that electronic atmosphere sounding stuff.
There's not many mics but what's here is unique & will sound as good as you play it!
We have a 6 string Martin hybrid acoustic/electric, a 6 string Larrivee acoustic, an Ibanez bass & a small arsenal of hand percussion.
We also know a few really good musicians if you need some helping hands.
So all in all it's a pretty straight foward set up, we don't usually do rock bands but if you are a singer songwriter or smaller band with some minimal percussion, you'll find it intimate & affordable at $20.00 an hour.
